BATAVIA — Eat Well Grill, which originally opened inside Eli Fish in July 2019, has reopened in its new location on 301 North St.
After staying with Eli Fish for a year and a half, the eatery moved to its new location after its lease was up. It had stayed open through December before moving, staying closed in January and February, and reopening earlier this month.
Eat Well Grill hasn’t changed since it opened in Eli Fish; John Kratz, co-owner, said they are still offering salad bowls, protein shakes, smoothies, and wraps — their entire menu is gluten-free.
The eatery’s menu is described as healthy, nutrient-dense and locally-sourced when possible, according to its website.
Healthy meals have been a popular and growing trend in restaurants.
“We were just looking for healthier options locally,” Kratz said. “It was tough to find a place in town that offered gluten-free, healthy, whole-food based options. So we felt like there was a need for that in the area.”
Since reopening, Kratz said the customer reaction has been positive and they’ve heard from a majority of their customers they’re glad Eat Well Grill is open again.
Current Eat Well Grill is only doing take-out, though they are also offering grab-and-go meals. The menu can be found at eatwellgrillbatavia.com.
Eat Well Grill is open 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
