A newly launched campaign is inviting food and drink enthusiasts to explore St. Paul’s eateries and breweries.
The Dine St. Paul Restaurant & Brewery Campaign, a partnership of the City of St. Paul, the St. Paul Housing and Redevelopment Authority and Visit St. Paul, launched the campaign to support local establishments during the pandemic.
As part of it, St. Paul restaurants will be spotlighted throughout the campaign.
The campaign kicks off with a “Let’s Eat!” poem written and performed by Tish Jones highlighting St. Paul’s diverse restaurants and appearances from St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter and local restaurateurs including from Handsome Hog, Mango Thai Cuisine, Nina’s, Groveland Tap, Urban Growler, El Burrito Mercado and Taste of Rondo.
Visit the website, and you’ll also find resources such as a restaurant guide to more than 200 St. Paul restaurants that includes information on what eateries are offering dine-in, outdoor dining, delivery and take-out and/or all at the moment. In addition, enter to win gift cards through the website as part of the #DineSaintPaul gift card giveaway campaign.
A news release from Visit St. Paul says the campaign is a response to seeing the loss of thousands of restaurant jobs last year amid the pandemic and seeing restaurants struggling. As a result, the St. Paul Restaurant Resiliency Project was launched to provide resources for restaurants. And through a partnership with NCXT, which provides research, strategy and digital resources, the project has been able to provide digital services as well as worked to cap third-party delivery fees at 15 percent and streamline restaurant curbside pick-up services.
