There’s a good chance you’ll likely work up an appetite browsing the artists’ booths at the 2021 Artsfest of Greater Harrisburg.
While art is the main draw at the three-day festival, food follows a close second. This year, about 20 food vendors will be selling an array of festival favorites including stuffed waffles, turkey legs, chocolate-covered cheesecake, Farm Show milkshakes and artisan hot dogs.
The festival, held in the past along Riverfront Park, will look different this year. There will be fewer vendors, designated entry and exit points, and all festival activities will be held on City Island to provide a larger area for social distancing amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Nearly 100 artisans will be on hand selling handcrafted works such as ceramics, drawings, furniture, glass, jewelry, leather, painting, photography and more. In addition, The HBG Flea has selected 30 artisans who will be set up selling items at the Carousel Pavilion.
The festival also includes several virtual elements and free craft kits for children.
