Subway launches Eat Fresh Refresh with a whole new menu approach - FoodSided

Eating fresh at Subway will look quite different. With the new program Eat Fresh Refresh, the popular quick service restaurant brand is taking a new approach to its menu. With “20 menu updates including 11 new and improved ingredients, six all-new or returning sandwiches, and four revamped signature sandwiches” everyone will want to get a taste of the big changes.

Over the years, many people have turned to Subway for customizable sandwiches. While special food deals can entice an extra order, the reality is that many people have a favorite sandwich on the menu. From that taste of familiar to the satisfying a hunger, the reality is that many people have become accustomed to those classic flavors.

At the same time, the quick service restaurant appreciates that it needs to adapt. It is more than just putting the latest food trend on the menu. Companies who hear customers and implement change will foster than brand loyalty beyond that limited time deal.

Why is Subway offering the Eat Fresh Refresh?

With this dramatic menu overhaul, Subway is showing its commitment to its guests. By focusing on its core menu and looking to enhance both the flavors and the food experience, this “refresh” is a time re-discover the quick service restaurant.

Trevor Haynes, President, North America at Subway, commented that the brand “has been serving freshly made, customizable and better-for-you sandwiches for more than 50 years, and we wanted to give our guests more new and improved flavors. Our new culinary team is delivering monumental updates to the entire core menu. The Eat Fresh Refresh makes Subway better than ever with freshly made, craveable and delicious sandwiches to excite new and returning guests.”

To implement this new Eat Fresh Refresh concept, “More than 10,000 Subway restaurants across the country will close at 6:00 p.m. on July 12.” Although some guests will have to make alternative dinner plans on July 12, the quick service restaurants will reopen on July 13 with all the new menu offerings and a special deal.

On July 13, participating restaurants “will give away up to one million free subs from 10:00 a.m. – noon local time.” The in-restaurant only offer is a 6” Turkey Cali Fresh sandwich, with no customization. The offer is limited to 50 per restaurant and customers must request the special offer.

What can guests expect on the new Subway Eat Fresh Refresh menu?

With 20 menu items as part of the refresh, the food changes might be slightly overwhelming, but each one will satisfy. More specifically, the changes include six new sandwiches, four improved sandwiches and 11 new and improved ingredients.

The six new sandwiches include Turkey Cali Fresh, Steak Cali Fresh, Subway Club, All-American Club, Rotisserie-Style Chicken (returning) and Roast Beef (returning). These “chef-recommended” sandwiches focus on combining flavors and textures that will be quite satisfying. From the multi-grain bread to new toppings, these new food offerings could quickly become guests’ favorites.

In addition, several new toppings will have guests excited to get a taste. From the new MVP Parmesan Vinaigrette, which features various herbs, garlic and parmesan to BelGioioso Fresh Mozzarella with its delicate texture, even favorite sandwiches can get a boost in flavor.

Overall, the Subway Eat Fresh Refresh is reason to rediscover the popular quick service restaurant. Whether it is a 6-inch for lunch or a foot-long for dinner, Sandwich Artists are ready to create the perfect meal that will satisfy.
