Registration is open for "Eat More Fish," a free Virginia Cooperative Extension program for anyone hungry to learn how incorporating more fish into meals can support a healthy lifestyle.
Over four webinar sessions from June 29 through July 30, participants will join Extension experts and seafood industry members to explore the science behind the benefits of including more fish in our diets, the status of the seafood industry in Virginia, and how to safely and deliciously prepare fish at home.
"The goal of the program is to demystify enjoying seafood at home," said David Crosby, a fish health and aquaculture specialist with Virginia Cooperative Extension. “The sessions will help people appreciate local seafood and build their confidence to purchase, handle, and cook with fish.”
Webinars will be held on June 29, July 6, July 13, and July 20 from 10-11 a.m. Anyone interested can learn more and register for free online until July 20. Contact David Crosby at dcrosby@vsu.edu or (804) 524-3653 with questions.
This program is presented by Virginia Cooperative Extension, Virginia State University, Virginia Tech, Virginia Seafood Agricultural Research and Extension Center, and the Virginia Marine Products Board.
